Our Story
The veterinary landscape is evolving.
Increasingly the public and our GP colleagues are seeking specialist level care within the general practice – combining convenience and continuity of care in a way that works for everyone.
MVS was built to meet that shift. We draw on Dr Geoff’s 8 years as a mobile veterinary cardiologist, Dr Tom’s experience building and selling a GP practice and Stacey’s extensive background in nursing and practice management – to create a system that makes mobile specialist work efficient, rewarding and accessible.
About MVS
Built by people who understand veterinary life.
The team behind MVS are all experts in their own way within the veterinary space. We’ve leveraged each other’s strengths to build something we genuinely believe the industry needs.
The Team
Meet the founders.
Three different backgrounds. One shared understanding of what veterinary practice actually looks like.
Dr Geoff Nicolson
Veterinary Cardiologist · Co-founder
Geoff is the man behind Veterinary Cardiac Services Australia. Established in 2018 with a home base of Brisbane, Geoff quickly built his brand as a mobile veterinary cardiologist. MVS now draws on Geoff’s 8 years in business as a foundation for the systems and processes in place to make mobile specialist work efficient, rewarding and accessible.
Dr Tom Robbins
General Practice Vet · Co-founder
Tom started Happy Pets Family Vet in 2019 and sold it as one of the first acquisitions to CVS in 2023. Tom has worked as a small animal GP vet for 13 years and since selling his clinic to CVS, continues to practise at Happy Pets. Through the experience of building Happy Pets from start up to sale, he truly understands the many pain points within clinic life. As a general practice veterinarian, Tom has firsthand experience managing clinical cases that require specialist referral and has played a key role in refining MVS’s referral systems.
Stacey McNamara
Operations & Scheduling · Co-founder
Stacey began her career in the veterinary industry in 2011 and has since developed a comprehensive understanding of clinic operations. Starting as a kennel hand, she progressed through various nursing roles, gaining hands-on experience across all facets of veterinary practice. Until 2025 Stacey was the practice manager at Happy Pets Family Vet in Brisbane. This breadth of experience has given Stacey a deep, practical insight into the inner workings of veterinary business — which she combines with the systems that have evolved from Geoff’s Veterinary Cardiac Services Australia to run the schedules and communication for all MVS specialists.
